Laser Department
Laser Department performs over 2000 operations annually. The main category of patients treated at the Laser Department shows pathological changes on the fundus of the eye including the diabetic retinopathy, different vascular lesions, retina exfoliation and trauma consequences.
The unique capability of laser consists in the measured out intervention in the preset regime into the strictly prescribed region. It allows to perform the effective care in a number of diseases against which there are no alternative procedures or they are weakly effective. Most often these are retinal diseases associated with dystrophic, traumatic, inflammatory changes which are capable to result in significant reduction of vision or even in the lost of sight.
The Laser Department possesses the modern and effective technical base consisting of ophthalmologic laser units Novus Omni, Ultima 2000 and YAG 7970.The fluorescent angiography is performed with the digital system ophthalmic Imaging System.
